Siempre me gustaron los animales desde que
tengo uso de razón, pero siempre me atrajeron más los gatos, es por eso que
decidí llamar a este blog:
"The
Beauty and The Cats".
"The Beauty" porque planeo que
este blog no solamente hable de la belleza física, si no que también de la
belleza intelectual y emocional; "The Cats" porque
ellos serán mi compañía e inspiración al momento de escribir.
I love animals ever since I remember,
but I always felt more attracted by cats, that’s the reason I decided to name
this blog: “The Beauty and The cats”
"The Beauty" because
this blog is not going to talk about physical beauty only, but about
intellectual and emotional beauty too; "The Cats" because they
are going to be my companion and inspiration when I’m writing.
Voy a comenzar presentando a las musas de este
blog.
Primero tenemos a Momiji, él tiene 8 años y es
un gato enorme ¡pesa casi 6 kilos!, es el rey de mi casa y por ende el jefe de
la pandilla. Lo adopté porque siempre quise tener un gato negro, no creo en
esos dichos que dicen que los gatos negros traen mala suerte, al contrario,
creo que tengo la suerte de que ellos me amen.
I’m going to start introducing the muses of this blog.
First we have Momiji, he's 8 years old and is a big
cat, his weight is 6 kilos! he’s the king of my home and the gang boss. I
adopted him because I always wanted a black cat, I don’t believe on those words
that says that black cats brings you bad luck, for my it´s completely the
opposite, I do believe that I’m lucky because they love me.
Momiji
A continuación tenemos a Hana, ella también
tiene el pelaje negro y tiene 7 años. Ella es muy femenina y delicada, por eso
la llamamos Señorita Hana. Adopté a Hana cuando Momiji tenía un
año, queríamos que tenga alguien con quien jugar y compartir.
La historia de Hana es triste. Ella vivía en
un barranco a sus escasos tres meses de edad, fue rescatada por una familia que
vio con pena como ella buscaba comida y refugio en época de lluvia y sola
frente al mundo; la familia se contactó conmigo y la adopté inmediatamente.
A pesar de todos estos años juntos ella aún
tiene algunas secuelas de su vida en las calles, su dentadura es débil y le da
mucho miedo la gente extraña y los ruidos raros, es por eso que debo estar
atenta a todo lo que la rodea, pero a pesar de todo lo que vivió, ella es muy
amorosa conmigo y siempre me da muchos besitos.
Next we have Hana, she also have black fur coat and is
7 years old. She’s very feminine and delicate, that’s the reason her nickname
is Miss Hana. I
adopted Hana when Momiji was 1 year old, because we wanted someone to play and
share with him.
Hana’s history is sad. She lived in a ravine with only
3 months old, she was rescued by a family who saw her looking for food and
shelter by herself during rainy season; the family contacted me and I adopted
her right away.
Despite all these years together she still has some
sequels of his life on the streets, her teeth are weak and she feels very
uncomfortable next to strange people and hearing strange sounds, that’s the
reason I must to be very careful about what surrounds her, but despite all she
went through, she’s very loving with me, she loves kissing me all the time.
Después está XiaoHei. Una tarde hace tres años
escuché el llanto de un gatito bebé en la calle que estaba siendo acosado por
algunos perros, me acerqué y ahí estaba XiaoHei con su pelaje negro (para
variar), asustado y hambriento, supuse que se había escapado de alguna casa cercana,
así que busqué a su familia pero nadie lo reconoció, así que se quedó a vivir
con nosotros.
XiaoHei es un espíritu libre, le encanta salir
a pasear, conocer gente y hacer nuevos amigos, pero eso si, él siempre vuelve a
casa.
Siempre me llamaron la atención los gatos
negros, por sus ojos y su hermoso pelaje, pero jamás pensé que terminaría viviendo
con tres gatos negros. Estos animalitos son unos dulces, no entiendo porqué son
siempre los últimos en ser adoptados en los refugios o directamente, nunca ser
adoptados.
Now we have XiaoHei. One afternoon 3 years ago I heard
a baby cat crying on the street who was being bullied by some dogs, I walked to
them and there was XiaoHei with his black fur coat (just to change), scared and
hungry, I thought he ran away from some nearest house, so I looked for his
family but no one claimed him, so we adopted him.
XiaoHei is a free spirit, he loves to take long walks,
meet new people and make new friends, but he always comeback home.
I always felt attracted by black cats, because their
green eyes and beautiful coat, but I never thought I'll end up living with
three black cats. These creatures are very sweet, I don’t understand why they
are always the last ones being adopted from shelters, or sadly, never adopted.
XiaoHei
Éramos tres en la pandilla y llegaron dos más.
Hace casi dos años llamé a Momiji para dormir,
pero él no venía, así que salí a ver porqué no lo hacía y lo encontré mirando algo
fijamente en las escaleras. Me cerqué más y escuché un maullido muy muy bajito,
¡era una gatita bebé!
Inmediatamente la tomé entre mis brazos y le di
comida, porque se veía muy delgada y hambrienta, habría tenido unos dos meses
de vida; nunca supe cómo es que llegó a colarse a mi casa.
A esta bebé la llamamos Cherry.
Creo que porque no fue alimentada como es
debido cuando era recién nacida, no creció como mis otros gatos, es la más
pequeña del grupo.
Es amorosa pero a veces renegona, si algo no
le gusta no duda en gruñirte.
We were three on the gang and two more joined us.
Almost two years ago, I called Momiji to sleep, but he
wasn't coming, so I went outside to find out the reason and he was seeing
something on the stairs without blinking. I walked to him, and I heard a very
very low cry, it was a baby cat!
I took her immediately on my arms and started to feed
her, because she looked very thin and hungry, she was around 2 months old at
that time; I never knew how she came inside to my house.
We named this baby as Cherry.
I think she doesn't ate properly when she was newly
born, so she wasn't grown up as my other cats, she’s the smallest one of the
group.
She’s very loving but cranky sometimes, when she
doesn't like something she makes you knew it.
Hace como un año estábamos planeando hacer
esterilizar a Cherry como a mis demás gatos, pero la naturaleza nos ganó y
Cherry se preñó. Tuvo cuatro gatitos, pudimos dar en adopción responsable a
tres de ellos pero nos quedamos con uno, Pablito.
Pablito es el bebé de la familia, es muy
infantil y mimado, al extremo que a veces grita (sí, grita) cuando no consigue
algo que no quiere. Lo sé, lo sé, un gato gritando es algo raro, pero él grita,
lo juro.
Around a year ago, we planned to spay Cherry as my
other cats (females spayed and males neutered), but Mother Nature was faster
than us and Cherry got pregnant. She gave birth four kittens, we managed to
find loving homes for three of them and keep one, Pablito.
Pablito is the baby of our family, he’s very childish
and very spoiled, he even scream sometimes (yes, scream) when he doesn't have
what he want. I know, I know, a screaming cat is weird, but he really screams,
I swear.

Para terminar tenemos a la presidenta de la
pandilla, Noxi.
Si Momiji es el rey, Noxi es la siguiente al
mando, ella es quien cuida de todos, los lame, duerme y juega con ellos y hasta
intermedia en las peleas, ella no soporta las peleas, así que se pone en medio
para detenerlas.
Noxi tiene 8 años, es una perrita muy dulce y
sin ella la vida sería demasiado triste, no concibo la vida sin ella.
Last but not least, we have the president of the gang,
Noxi.
If Momiji is the king, Noxi is the second in command,
she’s the one who take care of everyone, she licks them, sleeps and plays with
them, she’s even a mediator when they fight, she doesn’t like fights, so she
place herself in the middle to stop them to fight.
Noxi is 8 years old, she’s very sweet and without her
life could be very sad, I can’t imagine life without her.

En cuanto a mí: Amo leer libros, una de mis
autoras favorita es Anne Rice.
Escucho música de todo estilo, pero no me
gusta el reggaetón (si les gusta a ustedes lo respeto).
Ver películas románticas es uno de mis
pasatiempos favoritos (me declaro culpable).
Me gustan los colores negro, rosa, lila y azul.
Mi vicio es el helado de chocolate con fresa o
menta, tampoco rechazaría un jugo de piña o mango, son una delicia.
Las pastas son mi placer culposo.
Si me regalas lápices labiales, perfumes o
zapatos de tacón alto te amaría por siempre.
Espero que la pandilla y yo seamos de tu
agrado.

romantic movies is one of my favorites hobbies (I’m guilty I know).

favorite colors are black, lilac, pink and blue.
I’m
addicted to chocolate icecream with strawberry or mint icecream and I can’t
reject pineapple juice or mango juice, they are a delight.
Pasta
is my guilty pleasure.
If
you give me with a lipstick, perfumes or high heels, I will love you forever.
I
